Overwhelming Phenomenons.

Today in my teenage angst, I was overwhelmed by a certain phenomenon that has been pleasantly put on television for our entertainment. There are some phenomenons - social or otherwise - that absolutely astound me. Amelia Earhart, for example, is just baffling. How - I repeat HOW did she just disappear!?

This morning, I turned on the television expecting to watch my daily CSI episode on SPIKE TV. For some reason they decided to strip me of this wonderful daily ritual by showing a Gangland marathon. I don't know what demographic they were aiming for with that. So instead I turned to TLC. Here I found something shocking.

There is a show, maybe you already know about this, called "I didn't know I was pregnant." This show does reenactments of the days leading up to a the birth of an unexpected child. The reenactments are something to behold but that's not what I'm amazed by. These women have none of the regular symptoms of pregnancy. No weight gain, no morning sickness, no cravings . . . nothing. By the time these babies are born they are generally underdeveloped; and how could they not be? But for the most part, these babies end up being healthy, happy, fully developed little humans. All of the moms say that this baby is an absolute gift, no matter how unexpected. Which is amazing and wonderful. I think this is a feat of the human body but mostly I just don't get it.

Anybody able to explain this phenomenon of the body?

i totally think i'm one of those people who are going to have an unexpected baby. one day, i fully expect to be out grocery shopping or having a picnic and go into full out labour. it happened to one of my mom's friends.

In the news last week there was a lady who was 7 months pregnant fighting on the front line in Afghanistan for the British Army. She put the weight gain down to the army food and change of duties. I just don't get it either would you not notice?

I get if you're like rather large anyway and somehow it happens because after a certain point your body doesn't react the same way anyway. But it's when the girl in question is like a size 2 or 4 and somehow doesn't notice she's carrying around a whole other human being.
